Terms of Service
Last updated: July 23, 2026
1. Acceptance
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the ClutchReframe Live website, Windows companion application, OBS plugin, beta accounts, private installers, and related services (together, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Closed Beta Status
The Service is pre-release software made available to a limited number of invited testers for evaluation and feedback. Beta features may be incomplete, unstable, unavailable, changed, or removed without notice. Data, settings, scenes, output behavior, and compatibility may change between builds.
- An application does not guarantee access.
- Accounts and device access are issued individually.
- We may limit, suspend, or end the beta or a tester’s access at any time.
- The beta has no uptime, support-response, compatibility, or service-level commitment.
- No payment is collected for the current closed beta. This does not promise that later versions will be free.
3. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be legally able to agree to these Terms in your location. You are responsible for providing accurate application information, keeping account credentials secure, and all activity performed through your account and authorized devices.
You may not share, sell, transfer, sublicense, or provide your beta account, authentication credentials, private installer, private download location, or non-public beta materials to another person unless ClutchReframe gives written permission.
4. Service Description
ClutchReframe Live is a stream-production tool for Dota 2. It visually analyzes a selected game display on the user’s Windows PC and sends framing instructions to an OBS component so the configured broadcast output can pan, crop, or zoom for a vertical canvas.
The Service is designed to affect only the configured OBS broadcast output. It does not automate gameplay, inject code into Dota 2, read game memory, modify game files, or change the player’s own game view.
5. Beta Requirements and User Responsibilities
The current onboarding baseline is Windows 10 or 11 x64, Dota 2, and OBS Studio 32.0.4 x64. Compatibility with every device, display mode, GPU, encoder, OBS build, plugin, scene collection, or streaming platform is not guaranteed.
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining a lawful copy of Windows, Dota 2, OBS, drivers, and any streaming-platform account
- Backing up OBS profiles, scene collections, and other important configuration before beta testing
- Reviewing the output before broadcasting and supervising the Service while live
- Following the rules of Valve, OBS, each streaming platform, and applicable law
- Obtaining any consent needed to record, display, or distribute gameplay, voice, camera, chat, music, or other content
6. License and Beta Access
Subject to these Terms and continued beta authorization, ClutchReframe grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the non-open-source portions of the Service solely to evaluate the beta and produce your own streams.
No ownership interest is transferred. Except where an open-source license permits otherwise, you may not copy, redistribute, rent, lease, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer, bypass access controls, or create derivative works from the Service.
7. Open-Source OBS Component
The ClutchReframe OBS plugin is licensed separately under GPL-2.0-only. The plugin source and license information are available at github.com/ClutchReframe/clutchreframe-roi-filter. The GPL terms control for that component where they conflict with these Terms.
Other companion, service, website, and product components are not made available under the OBS plugin’s GPL license merely because they interoperate with the plugin.
8. Acceptable Use
You may not use the Service to:
- Break applicable law, platform rules, or third-party rights
- Cheat, automate player input, obtain an unfair competitive advantage, or misrepresent the Service as a gameplay tool
- Probe, attack, disrupt, overload, or bypass the authentication, device, entitlement, session, or security systems
- Use another person’s account or attempt to defeat account or device limits
- Distribute malware or use the Service in a way that harms users, systems, or networks
- Represent that ClutchReframe is endorsed by Valve Corporation, the OBS Project, or a streaming platform
9. Feedback
If you provide ideas, bug reports, recordings, configuration information, or other feedback, you grant ClutchReframe a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free right to use, reproduce, modify, and incorporate that feedback to develop, test, document, market, and support products and services. This does not transfer ownership of your pre-existing stream content.
Do not include confidential information you do not have permission to share. Before sending a diagnostic export, screenshot, or recording, review it for personal information, credentials, private chat, or unrelated content.
10. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how the website and beta process information. By using the Service, you acknowledge that processing.
11. Third-Party Products and Services
Dota 2, Steam, Windows, OBS Studio, streaming platforms, email providers, and backend service providers are third-party products or services governed by their own terms. ClutchReframe does not control and is not responsible for those third parties.
12. Intellectual Property
ClutchReframe and its licensors retain all rights in the Service, branding, documentation, website, non-open-source software, and related materials, except for rights expressly granted under these Terms or an applicable open-source license.
Dota and Dota 2 are trademarks and/or registered trademarks of Valve Corporation. ClutchReframe Live is an independent product and is not endorsed by or affiliated with Valve Corporation or the OBS Project. We claim no ownership of third-party game, platform, or software marks.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. CLUTCHREFRAME DISCLAIMS IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE.
We do not warrant that the Service will be accurate, uninterrupted, secure, compatible, error-free, suitable for a live broadcast, or free from data loss, dropped frames, incorrect framing, scene changes, performance impact, or other defects.
14. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CLUTCHREFRAME AND ITS CONTRIBUTORS, LICENSORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST REVENUE, PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, STREAMS, VIEWERS, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, OR COMPUTER USE, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CLUTCHREFRAME’S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE CLOSED BETA WILL NOT EXCEED USD $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
15. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ClutchReframe and its contributors from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses arising from your stream content, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law or third-party rights, or your misuse of the Service.
16. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access immediately if we believe you violated these Terms, created security or legal risk, misused the beta, or if the beta is changed or discontinued. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual-property, feedback, disclaimer, limitation, and indemnity provisions.
17. Changes
We may update these Terms as the beta changes. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised date. If a material change affects active testers, we may provide additional notice. Continued use after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
18. Contact
